Get ready to start exploring Internet use in a classroom with young EFL learners. 

 

Introductions

During this week's session, you will:

1. Open an account in Yahoo.
2. Introduce yourself to the other participants by sending an email. 
3. Do some reading on teaching young learners, on using the computer in the young EFL learners classroom, and on using the internet in the young EFL learners classroom.
4. Start thinking about your project - a lesson plan using Internet-based activities.

Homework for week 5. 

 

Start thinking about what you could do with your kids - take into consideration their age, abilities and likes and prepare a lesson for them using Internet-based activities. 

Create a page with the URLof the activity and a brief description of the activity, classroom organization, supplementary material used if any, and problems that you think are likely to occur.  Add a few comments on how you plan to handle them.

 

This activity will be presented to the rest of the group during week 5. 

All you have to do is upload it to our activity wiki at http://internet4ylactivities.pbworks.com   right after you prepare it. 

This wiki will be a source you will be able to visit whenever you need to.
